check out larrys reef frenzy to get an idea of what to put in it. he makes it at home with readily available materials

I've been meaning to and when I start to get more fish I will. I've read a lot of people use the frozen mixed seafood bag from publix, $5, and add pellets, flakes and other things. Then toss it all in a blender with some water.

I have a friend that took an assortment of fresh seafood, garlic water and a few other ingredients blended it up and froze it. The fish loved it.:)

I have to start out with this disclaimer:

Do not use spoiled or questionable creatures / animals / ingredients. I think that we all know what happens with our levels when things die or build up. We most definitely don't want to negatively feed / dose our communities!!

OK !!

I once did a blended is better presentation. Made of squid, scallops, shrimp, crab. I then add Nori seaweed along with Kent magnesium, strontium, and marine Zoe (vitamins). Chunk or blend. Depends on what you are feeding. You can adjust for your corals, clams, anemone, fish. The concept that got me feeding a reef w/ fish - was the waste food, and what is really in that x brand special order stuff. This is a great way to feed them all with little to no waste. You can zip-lock and freeze flat, or you can get the little ice cube trays from like the dollar store. freeze and pop out as needed. If you watch your levels - you can see how much you are over feeding or not. I used a cube every other day in one tank and once a week in another and everyone was happy.

Just have fun with it - there are tons of ideas on food - just make sure your not over feeding and not adding bad ingredients to your reef :)
