Fish that eats softies

been doing this since 1983 off and on mostly on. Is there a fish that will eat my zoas but not bother sps or lps? Not fraggin them they are all over and some growing over sps.

Filefish. Watch for the lps, but mine never touched them and ate every zoa in my 80 gallon.

Hippo tangs on the spectrum will decimate your zoa gardens. I had one grow to develop a taste for them. By the time I found out it was a tang he has gone through a crap ton of high ends.

I feel your pain. My filefish ate at least $500 worth. I was traveling a lot and not paying attention to the frag tank. In the end he did me a favor, I don't have to maintain them anymore.

I’ve watched one of my Pyramid Butterflies eating zoas….has not really impacted the population. Amazingly, individual Zia’s occasionally float around the tank, and start new colonies……
