Fish Trap Question

Hello all,

I have a large yellow tang that I want to trade or sell. Problem is that I can't seem to catch him and I do not want to tear my tank apart to do so.

I've seen on here where folks have used a fish trap to capture fish. Does anyone have one that is willing to loan out or even stop by and help catch it? Hopefully would only need it for the day. I live in the Kennesaw/Acworth area and work in Alpharetta off Mansell Rd.

If there are any ideas of a DIY fish trap, I'm interested in that too. Anything to help me catch this tang.

Thanks in advance.

Wake up at 3 AM, turn on the lights, and snag him out. They stumble out all "drunk" and are easy to catch. If hes in the rocks, just "guide" him out with a long rod or similar.

Very true. He'll "sleep swim" into your net

put the net in the tank a couple of hours before capture so he'll get used to it being around him.

I may have to try that. Now I need to find someone who would like a good sized yellow tang.
