Anyone have any experience with Flashlight fish. I heard they are reef safe and pretty darn cool. Im thinking about ordering 3 of them. thoughts?

They need to be kept in a low-light tank. They don't do well with "normal" aquarium lighting. If the lights are turned on suddenly it can freak them out enough that they dash around and even injure themselves.

They are also pretty difficult to feed.

Thanks, ARC Library Program!

Not to mention they do better at cooler temps than typical reef temps.

I ordered and recieved 3 flashlights today along with some Anthias and a pair of Rhomboids. So far everything is doing well.

The flashlights are very cool. They are like fireflies in the water. Hope they make it!

Keep us posted, no doubt they are cool fish. Post some pics, too, lest we all get upset with you!
