float switch sticking.... Styrofoam?

Hey guys my ato float switch has been sticking a bit, anyone ever had problem with these? If not how would glueing a bit of Styrofoam to the float work, just to give it more flotation?

Yes.

The 'ideal' solution (IMO) is to use an extension float attached to the one on the switch. They usually hang because of deposits between the switche's float and the fixed guide. By extending the float down you eliminate this 'space' between as a potential problem.

Hmmmm so your saying just buy a extra float and attach it off in front of it?

I think your styrofoam might do the trick if attached correctly, ie-so it does not interfere with movement and holds the main float up out of the water.

yea, i will test out multiple ways before i leave it.
