Flow for SPS tanks

I just added a 2nd mp40 on my 100 gal cube (30x30x27). I have a gen 2 mp40 and the new mp40es. I am looking for folks that have played with different flows over a period of time to see what produced better growth


Anyone done this?

I always ran reef crest mode but am willing to change to whatever will do better for sps

I have a mixed tank and run reef-crest. My SPS growth and PE seems to have increased dramatically since starting to feed Nutramar OVO mid-day every day. For that I shut down everything except 1 MP40 on feed-mode. The prawn roe is small enough for the SPS to grab & eat what the fish don't.

My Vortechs are linked to an Apex WXM and cycle through all the modes throughout the day. Works great!

I have an mp10 and mp40 on my cube. I use short pulse and just have waves all day long. It works for me. I get a 1.5"-2" wave now that I have it adjusted and added the mp 10.
