How much flow do you think is enough for a hard coral 125 gallon tank? Right now I am turning it over about 11 times an hour (1400 gallons of flow per hour). Thanks.

The more the better. I would say at least 20x per hour. You'll get by with 10x, but more will always be better. I noticed a drastic improvement as soon as I upped my flow to 20x per hour. I still feel that 20x is not enough for my 120.

I assume that you are talking about an SPS tank. If it is an LPS tank, 10x should be fine

I have a lot of SPSes running in a 120. I run 2 1200gph pumps, 2 600gph pumps, 1 250 gph canister and the return is pumping around 500gph. Everything seems to be happy and healthy at about 30x flow.

It sounds like I need to increase my flow a little more. Thanks ya'll!

I have about 10,000gph in my 156... the fish don't seem to mind too much.

Tony.... isn't that a bit of overkill???

Then again I have 5,000 gph in my 90
