ok in my 30gal i have a koralia 2, and a maxijet of about the same size.
with both on my tank with its mushroom, frogspawn, zoa's, looks like a tornado is going in there. so i believe thats way to much flow for a 30. ive read on the net a few cases where people were running up to a 37 with 2 nano koralias. im thinking about dropping one of the power heads that i have and buying a nano koralia to replace it with.
does this sound good or should i take a different route?

With mushrooms and zoas, you may have too much flow, if you had SPS pieces, it probably wouldn't be enough. I am running a Koralia nano in a 10g with softies, and I don't think it's enough flow. Not really sure what that powerhead is good for...

humm......they are rated at 260gph. the #2 that i have just looks gawdy big in the 30 too. the 2 will end up in my 50 when i get it up and running.
maybe 2 of them. my frogspawn and green star polyp are starting to look like crap and im thinking flow has a lot to do with it.
the frogspawn was given to my g.friend and i. its by far her fav coral.
my life has been threatened if anything happens to it. lol
my greenstar looks like it has the mange. im thinking flow is the problem. both of these corals are listed as hardy and easy to care for.
my zoa's look fantastic. my mushrooms are stretching up towards the light a good bit. i dont think they are suppose to do that.
im thinking that my flow is a major cause in all of this or at least some of it.

If the mushrooms are stretching up, they may not have enough light. What kind of lighting do you have?

Ill Be Running A Nano And K1 In My 30 For This Same Reason, Seems Like The Perfect Combo To Me...

Frogspawn doesn't like direct flow; I would reposition your powerheads and make sure they're not directly blasting at any particular coral.

The flow should be just fine; I have MUCH more without issues. If you just added the second powerhead, the corals may just need time to get used to it.

the flow is aimed at the glass so its not direct.
the second power head has always been there. the coral is new by about 2 weeks or so to my aquarium.
