i have two tunzes (one stream 6000 on a controller and one 6045 nanostream) i tried putting the SPSs near the top where they could get a strong flow like every website says but they don't seem to like that and when i put them on the stand they don't seem to like that either.

someone give me some suggestions on what i should do with them so they could get good water flow

have face each other on opposite ends or have them in each rear side facing the front glass.

i did that last night. i put the 6045 nanostream on the other side and i will see what happens today when i get home

no direct flow. you could literally blow the skin off the coral.

5 part article... REALLY informative.

this is quite CONTRARY to everything i have been told. when i look on live aquaria they say yea all SPS's need STRONG flow. and even in the fish stores they tell me that SPS's will be fine with the water blowing right on them; they love that

there are a LOT of cases of this on RC. as discussed in some of the articles in advanced aquarist, strong laminar flow isn't beneficial to corals.

as far as i know, strong random flow (two powerheads pointed at the glass towards each other) is a better choice for SPS.

i'm sure it's all relative to species.

strong flow does NOT mean aim the powerheads at the coral:

Thank you for doing his research for him. :D

read the 5 part on advanced aquarist on water flow... it's a good one.
