Well hello ARC!

I was apart of the club back in 2007-2012ish? not 100% sure. I have been a junkie for water since I can remember. Roughly in 2010-2012 my reef of 8+ years crashed due to a faulty heater. The glass of the heater actually fell off leaving the electronics in the tank (long story, but pretty happy I survived that day). I have had a few other reef tanks over the years and never truly left the hobby, but as of the past few years I only have a 75gl turtle tank,. which I now regret,. but the kids won't let me get rid of it.

I am currently working on a 90 mixed reef,. just soaking some old rock for now, getting ready. I "hope" to have water in it by the first of the year.

First and foremost just wanted to say Hey! I doubt anyone will remember me,. I have always been more of a lurker then a poster,. but maybe this time around I can change that.

I do have one question so far though,. who are the admins of the site? I would love to have my old account back, and my username is still here but the email address I no longer use. Who should I reach out to for this?

Also if you want to have your tank up and running sooner you can look at using fritz turbo start.

Ok cool,. as of now I have (a WIP):

90 Gallon display / 40 gallon breeder as a sump.
1 x MP40
2 x Finnex 300watt heaters
1 x Quite one 758 gallon pr/hr return pump
1 x HOB overflow
1 x Aquatic Life - 48" Hybrid T5HO / LED (I only have the T5 bulbs atm,.. not sure what LEDs I will get after the cycle)
1 x Reef Octopus - NW-150-6530B - Skimmer
Roughly 180+ pounds of rock (some from previous systems, some I bought recently. Most has been soaking in heated SW since August. Whatever I don't use I will be getting rid of or reserving for the future. I just wanted some options and got it dirt cheap)
80 pounds Fiji pink dry sand
BRS RODI - Forget the specs.
Refractometer
Salifert ALK/CAL test kits - API test kits for cycling (Ammonia, Nitrites & Nitrates) - Nothing for PH, or others yet but I'm still working on it
Plan on starting with dosing Kalkwasser in my top offs - I have a DIY ATS from a past system,. but I will probably upgrade that soon.

As far as livestock,. I love the critters the most,. but as far as a temp list I have so far (very temp atm):

As far as coral - I love some softies, many LPS and some SPS. Not really sure on this one yet,. or haven't bothered making a list yet lol.

Wow, you're off to a great start. Seems like you have a pretty well thought out plan, good work. One question, are you opposed to drilling the tank overflow? I am because it's to my understanding that hob overflows fail and can flood you out.

Yeah I thought and thought about drilling,. but got lazy and went with the hob overflow that i used for years and years - never failed me. Hoping it won't this time

@york1 - Even after the Tang/tangs? This is where I am confused and I will be doing a lot more research (this will be a three month minimum setup/cycle and ten+ year tank) - But livestock and the order I need a lot more info. I have kept sixlines in the past with little issue,. but I have also recently read some of the horror stories. Might not even go with that,. not 100% sure yet, much research to do.
