Formula for calculating volume

I posted a link in a earlier thread to the GARF site that can tell you water volume with the amount of LR you have in the tank....forgot where but maybe just go to the GARF site...

I assume they use a given density and you just estimate your pounds of rock? There's lots of different rocks with different density. 20lbs of dense base rock might be 1/2 to 1/3 the volume of 20lbs of pukani rock.
 
There is also a lot of calculators on reef central. Look in the left column.

Yeah....it's says on there it's just a ballpark estimate....not exact by any means....but it's probably fairly close...at least close enough to do dosing by
