Yep, there is a thread on RC for people that have done DIY solatubes to provide lighting for their tanks. I'm not sure how well it works year round though, given the rainy/overcast days.

Well you gotta think... fish and coral experience rainy days in the wild. Maybe the change is good for them. Natural light cycles help coral spawning so it could be really beneficial....
