I just bought a foxface yesterday and dripped him for 3 hours. At first he was stressed as I would have thought. This morning and until just now, he had been fine. I just noticed he is stressing bad. I just checked my parameters and Ammonia = 0 Nitrites = 0 Nitrates = 0, Ph = 8.1/8.2 Akl = 4-4.5

I had been messing with my lights and had them off then turned them on and off a few times. Not sure if this caused it or not.

I now unplugged the whole light and its completely dark.

Any suggestions? Just not sure why he was fine today and now he is looking all stressed. He ate fine today as well.

I've had two different ones and they both do that just randomly. I wouldn't sweat it unless it lasted over 5 plus mins. My bigger one sleeps in stressed colors every night. Think it's part defense mechanism.

they spook nothing to worry about and before you wonder the white stuff is skin they shed

Welcome to ARC!

Foxfaces are very high-strung and nervous. They are also venomous (dorsal spines) in case you weren't aware - use caution when working in the tank, because when they freak out they can bounce off the walls and bump into you.

Just give it a few days to settle in - the "ripe banana" appearance is normal until it relaxes.

Really, any fish you add is going to take a bit to acclimate and chill out. Give it a few days to a week.
