So that 20g i had found last month i finally decided what to do with it. FRAG TANK! Lowes had some broken eggcrate that they let go for a few dollars, i had tons of zipties. I still have my old Aquaclear filter/fuge. So this is what i came up with.

DIY LED, * pretty sure they are crees) 24 leds :royal blue, blue, & warm white/ cool white mix.
Aquacear filter fitted wth filter sponges and matrix from existing tank. ( bio filtration only)
Eggcrate & ziptie frag rack
Voyager 2 powerhead
150w heater

I filled the tank with half water from my main tank and half fresh newly mixed rodi salt. I have had matrix in my main tank for several months so i took alot of that and put it into that AC filter along with filter sponges. Oh and its BB. So, how does this sound for a frag tank/ growout tank?

On a side note does anyone know how to drill into a heatsink? I found it to be impossible lol.

It hates me.... thats the hard part.
Lol but seriously i tried to drill a self driving screw into that dang heatsink for well over 30 minute and didnt even make a dent lol.

I think you have a pretty good start there. I CAN tell you that that egg crate is gonna be nearly impossible to keep clean.. but to hold the frag plugs you'll def need something.

also, speaking from experience make sure your mag cleaner can get round the frag holders :) or that it will at least lift out really easily.

Great thought on the Mag cleaner man. I would not have thought of that.

Wish i would have thought of that before constructing the rack lol, ther is no space, like it barely fit in there ha ha. Well its easier to take away and inch thatn to add one, so easy fix. And these are my par numbers. These numbers are from the light being dead center over the tank, if i move the light towards the back of the tank i much higher par on the top two racks, like 410 on the topmost.

I wish I knew the par values of my tank. It would give me a very good idea of where I need to be while ramping up my RB P48 over the last 4-5 weeks. I'm at a max of 55% now with no signs of bleaching.
