so im in the process of drawing up plans for my frag tank build. i had planned on useing a 20L for the display and sump, but i've decided to build my own acrylic frag tank. just wanted more floor space and thought it would be a fun project.
as of now i want the tank to be 36"/18''/8''. im planning on useing a 36'' 4 bulb t5 fixture, so my question is how close is to close to have the fixture? if i use the mounting legs just like you would on a normal tank, could it possibly be tooo much light for some corals since the tanks going to be so shallow? i know the sps's would love it and it could even possibly bleech them, but what about other low light softies and such? could it be to much for them? i guess i could always just have them on the outer edge not dirrectly under the light.
what do you guys think?
