Due to these crazy times ive come to realization that my frag tank was only meant to help financially sustain my hobby. But ive long had the aspirations to successfully sustain a nem tank. So ive packed my display with frags meant for sale/trade. Leaving some left for free to fellow reef nerds that are supporting members. In this thread you will see the transformation. Im guessing it will be about 2 weeks b4 1st nem introduction.

Glue them before you put them in. Way easier
I wanted to but because its part of my existing system im trying to cure the rocks for a week or 2 to avoid a large change to the system. Im hoping to slowly introduce the changes. So i think it would be best to introduce "live ish" rock possibly staggered intervals.

Adding new rock may set off a small cycle
I have a decent size system, as i am cycling the new rock to an extent not to worried about a new cycle. More worried bout a temp imbalance of nutrient uptake. The rocks are already cycling and im slowly trading rocks from my sump to the process. Im trying to be delicate. Time will tell i will share my progress and hopefully share nothing but success! Ive done several tank tranfers and transformations like this and have been blessed thus far. I guarantee ill get it up and running! (Eventually lol!) Mark my words:cool:

Sand in system cut off at manifold and hob filter added to speed up clarification without effecting whole system 20200408_185647.jpg20200408_190125.jpg

Amazed at how fast tank cleared up by cutting of from main system and adding hob filter this is a lil over an hour15863887177592837546715250009427.jpg15863887177592837546715250009427.jpg

Soooo... my back is killing me lol! But livestock and temp frag racks plus a couple of rocks have been added. Im exhausted. Got much further along than i thought possible. Gotta clean up tomorrow and let the rest of the rocks cook until next week. Very satisfied with my progress, also gonna change my predictions of adding the first nem from 2 weeks to 3 to 4 weeks. Too much to do and wanna make sure parameters are stable20200408_195154.jpg20200408_195210.jpg20200408_195211.jpg
