Well I've been looking this site for more than a year, got a great promotion this year and finally got everything ready to go for my first Reef tank. I've had freshwater tanks in the past and have always loved the hobby. My first job many many moons ago was in the aquatics department at Petsmart.

Tank and stand:JBJ 45G rimless
Lighting Kessil A360 with controller
Protein skimmer: Reef Octopus BH-1000
Pumps: Sicce Syncra 3.0 on back sump, and Gyre XF130 for display tank. I have a used MP10 for a backup if the Gyre doesn't work out.
Heater: Cobalt NeoTherm 200w
IM midsize reactor in the back chamber.

Live Rock - 25lbs of Pukani from BRS - First I soaked it in a 100% vinegar for a couple of days, which took off a ton of gunk from the outer layer. Then I put in in a garbage can with Saltwater and biospira for about 2 months. Did a 25% water halfway through to get some of the nasty crap off the top of the water.

Sand- Fiji pink 30lbs

I'm cycling/starting the tank with Red Sea reef Mature.

And so we are off and running. My partner keeps asking me when we are getting Nemo. He also wanted the buddha head... at first I wasn't sure but I like it for now.
