I once again will perform Phospate tests on club members water samples at the October 12th club meeting. Details on the meeting can be found here:

This serivce is available to club members only.

I ask that you bring at least 50ml of tank water (a sandwich ziplock 1/2 full should be plenty).

This is a free service and is at a first come, first served basis. You must find me at the meeting, I will be wearing my nametag ;) .

I will be using one of the new, small Hanna colormeters for the tests and it takes 4-5 minutes per test so I will not be able to do more than ~10 tests.

All I ask is that you only use the test if you think you might have a phosphate problem.

I reserve the right to cancel at the last moment if an emergency arises :)

I am offering this as a service to club members. If there is enough interest, maybe we can start a water testing team that would show newbies how to properly perform tests or perfom tests for elements people don't normally purchase test kits for (Iodine, stontium, copper, phosphate, etc). Thanks to cshoneyman (Chris) who I met at the last meeting and provided a phosphate standard to verify my meter, I now know my $35 colormeter is VERY accurate so I feel comfortable continuing this service.
See you Tuesday!
