When I picked up this frogspawn it was one big head as seen below

Since I've purchased it, the tissue has recessed from over the head and it looks as though the skeleton is pinching together and forming 2-3 heads total. It still has good polyp extensions and I can see 2-3 mouths. At night it retracts a little and you can see tissue/skeleton where its pinching together. Is this normal? I thought that they usually bud new heads? The only other frogspawn I've owned was purchased as two large heads with similar skeleton structure to this one. I will try to get a better picture of where it's coming together tonight. Since it started doing this I moved it to a lower flow spot in my tank and I think it's be going on for a good 3 weeks now.
