I bought this frogspawn probably a week and a half to two weeks ago and it doesnt inflate that I have noticed until I turn the light out. It doesnt inflate right away when the lights go out I just notice that when I wake up that its more inflated and reaching out. Does it just need to get use to the tank or am I doing something wrong?

Here is a picture of it sucked in.

Move it down in the tank, maybe it will help. Most likely the flow is to high though.

I have a really hard time keeping frogspawn/torch/hammer, etc. I have no idea why, and it sucks as they are my some of my favorite corals..

I really hope that I can find a spot in my tank that will let this baby bloom. Frogspawn is one of the corals that really got me into the hobby and I will be sad if it doesnt go over well :( I guess if I dont see any changes in a couple weeks I will have to see if anyone would like to trade or something :( I just really hope that it will work out.

What kind of lighting you have? Too much light maybe? How about your parameters? Are they in check?

What size tank, lights and flow do you have? They can deal with medium flow and lower light but there may have already been something going on with it before you got it since it looks like there was anther head that already died. I'd look for a medium flow, medium light area and then leave it alone. They are pretty hardy and tolerate a lot of different conditions so you may just need to be patient with it.

Hey guys I have a 7.5 g cube with PC lighting and medium flow. Its so weird because I moved them and they expanded nicely when the light was off but they didnt shrink as much when the light came on this morning. When I get home I will check and see if they are slowly starting to get use to the new location and lighting

+ 1 I have both frogspawn and torch corals, and the amount of flow that they get seems to be the biggest factor in determining if they are happy or not. I would move it around to see if less flow will make it inflate.

Yea thats what im trying out right now is moving it around every couple days to see which spot will help it expand more.
