Frogspwan question

Ok so i have this really cool white frospwan and it is like divided into 2 sides with multiple head on each. The weird thing is that on one half the tenicles are nice and open and the other is pretty shrunk in. What could be causing this? to much flow, not enought flow, lighting even? I'll try and post a pic later.

All of the above? Too much flow would be a possibility....change the flow a bit and see what happens.

I have a hammer that had a couple of heads retracted--I was concerned 'till I realized that it was over a 'cave' where my Foxface likes to take refuge--when he did those polyps would retract.
