How long will frozen (mysis and brine) last thawed in a fridge?

Reason I ask is I will be out of town for solid week and need to make it as simple as possible for the neighbor to feed the fish. I was going to set out the measured ammounts in containers. The containers do not have lids they are just little plastic dixie cups. Will the food last 7 days or do I need to make further plans?

I do not feed pellets so pellets are out.

Thanks for all advice
Nate

I believe that once the food is thawed that you only have a short time (an hour or so) before it begins to decompose. Once that happens you're asking for trouble if you wait too long to put it in your tank. Couldn't you just put the measured amounts in zip locks in the freezer?

^haha, yes everything starts to decompose as soon as its dead but thats pushing it a bit.

I have left pre measured thawed portions of food in my fridge for 2 weeks while out of town for my dad to just dump in the tank. Never had an issue. You will be perfectly fine for one week.

Since I only have 4 small fish, when I feed them, I always end up preparing enough for 2 feedings. The excess gets an extra squirt of tank water in it and sits in the fridge for 2 days until I use it.

A week should be fine...

Alternatively, what I've done is have premeasured frozen food in the freezer, to which my caretaker adds a squirt of tank water to and within 1-2 minutes it's melted and ready to feed...
