FW to SW tank..

So i am going to try my hand at keeping a pygmy seahorse and i have a 5 gallon eclipse tank that ive been housing a betta and small catfish in... i know i need to clean the tank but am not too sure what is safe. i was thinking hot water and vinegar? isnt that what i see posted usually? is there a formula? i have 2 things of vinegar maybe totalling half a gallon? should i just dump is all in with some hot water and let it run for a few hours? or is there something else i should do?

that should be fine...I'd just fill it up, dump it, repeat several times.

good good im picking up a few lbs of LR tomorrow.. wish mine was more purpled up so i could just swap a lil but i guess ill let it cure on its own.. thanks eric!
