should I leave the chiller in the garage or move it to the basement
I am moving my sump to the basement this weekend, and I can't decide if I should move it.
It is alot cooler in the basement but it is kinda moist, down there.
I am also worried that the heat from the chiller will heat up the water in the sump in the summer months
any advise would help

Depends on two things-

1) how far away your basement / garage is- the height difference is what's most important here. Remember that going to another floor is going to require a bigger pump, which just adds more heat to the system. Granted, it should be a closed loop (and thus 0 head), but you'll still need a bigger pump.
2) how hot your garage / basement gets as is. It's only going to get hotter with a chiller.

Putting the chiller outside is by far your best option, if that's viable.

the pump I am using is a Gen-X PCX-30

the sump is just below the garage (8 ft up and over 3 ft)
if I put the chiller in the basement it will be sitting on the floor about 4 ft from the bench the sump will be sitting on.

The new pump/furnace room is about 8ftx12ft, it is almost underground.
my main pump is Pan world 200ps, but that is going to the display tank, I don't think it is strong enough to "T" off to the Chiller. it runs about 50 ft across and up 8 ft with quit a few turns.

Do you currently use / need the chiller? If not, be aware that they put off a lot more heat than people realize. Putting it in the same room with sumps and stuff would be counter productive - you're just heating the same space that contains the water you're trying to chill.

Is putting it outside not an option?

I don't need it now, but I need it in the summer,

I was thinking the same thing too about puting it in the same room
my garage get pretty hot in the summer thats why I was thinking about the basement.
What I don't know, is how often it will run if it's in the basement
