My GBTA seems to being doing well but has parked himself under a ledge where there isn't as much light. I know that some folks don't feed them very often but since it isn't getting much direct light, how often should I feed it? Thanks.

I just added a RBTA and it has done the same thing. It will eventually move if it is unhappy.

I feed mine maybe once a month at best. They will move to the light/flow conditions they like regardless of where you think they should be.

Thanks. Yeah, I am not too concerned about it moving. I know that it will move where ever it wants to go and that is fine but just wondered about direct feeding.

I'd feed it meaty food (pieces of fish/shrimp) once or twice a week. If it isn't hungry, it won't accept the food. In my experience, most will take food once or twice a week.

Studies have shown that meaty fare is more important than light. They can live with substandard light when fed, but the reverse is not so. They don't do well on light alone.
