GE Silicone 1 Clear Aquarium Safety

I have seen much written about the safety of this product on ARC. I recently bought a tube to seal my wooden stand (not any part of the aquarium). While the outside of the tube does say 100% silicone, the back of the tube says,"Not for use below the water line or aquariums." Now GE may just be referring to the product's bonding strengh and ability to hold water under pressure...but there are too many aquarium-friendly silcone products out there for me to take a chance. But that's just me.
