Hello everyone,

When i first put GFO into the system, it tumbles fine and beautifully. Then a day or so later I notice it stops tumbling completely. I increase the flow on the GFO and it starts going again, then a couple of days later it stops again. Does it stop tumbling cause it's weighed down with all the crud it's trying to absorb? Or is it cause it's clogging the system?

Any help is much appreciated.

No way crud is building up that fast in the reactor. You should put a ball valve after the tee where the manifold comes off to restrict the flow to the DT a bit, which will increase flow through the manifold.

If you can't do that without cutting the return flow to the DT too much, then you need a higher volume pump

Be sure to rinse the fines out because they can rise up from the bottom of the bed and clog the sponge filter. The nutrients are minimal, .28% adsorbed so I doubt that's your problem.
