We are getting ever closer to getting the 110 up and running. Have my additional rock cycling and QT tank is up and cycled for a little over a month now and ready for fish.
I want to know what everyone’s favorite fish are and why. We will be moving live rock with bristle worms and who knows what from our current tank.

I have several fish on my wish list, many are not deemed “reef safe”.
Current fish: bonded clown pair, powder blue Naso tang (3”)

RBTA x 2
Small GSP rock
Several ricordia mushrooms
Duncan
Toadstool
Orange stylo
Cyphestrea
Some kind of paly and a few Zoa polyps
All my corals are super small frags, no colonies

Shopping at Steve’s for more corals soon

Looking forward to your ideas!

Midas Blenny: gorgeous blue eyes and golden color, and they provide a lot of movement and personality. And reef safe.

But definitely a watchman goby and pistol shrimp pair. But there are many watchman options.

I really love the Melanurus Wrasse. They’re excellent pest hunters. They never stop scanning the rocks for things to eat. On top of that, the males have awesome coloration.

Do they eat your inverts? Snails? Or just the worms? They are very pretty!
melanurus is a wrasse that i like to keep whenever i get a chance. very easy to take care for and didn't bother any of my inverts while keeping pests at bay. when they get big, they do tend to be slightly more aggressive in my experience but nothing catastrophic. you just need to feed it more.

Half and half in my experience. They're invert bullies but nothing that can't be managed especially if you keep your melanurus well fed. I usually introduce inverts into my sump for a few days so that they can get used to my tank before moving them to the display. If I don't do that, my melanurus will harass them while they're acclimating to the tank but I've never seen him kill anything. He does flip some snails though. With Melanurus Wrasses you might have to tailor your clean up crew to snails that aren't easily flipped like trochus or mexican turbos. Cerith and smaller astraea snails might get bullied though.

Totally worth it if you ask me because they really do keep your tank pest free.
