Going from LED to Mh

Hey guys im going to run a Sump and a External Fuge now and i want to swap to MHs since heat wont be a issue anymore.


I have one 5w LED bulbs. Grows everything great, But i want to use my 150w MH. How should i go about adding?

I have mainly Lps and softies. It is a 10 gallon tank. i think with the legs the MH sits 5 inches off the water

If the LED will do the trick why not just keep using it? The cost of running a MH compared to a LED's is a big difference.

My LED is able to keep SPS alive at the top. But wont grow really. Ive had a Birds nest for 3 months with no signs of growth. I meant to say i have a few SPS and Chalice.

I would just try to run both for atleast a couple weeks. Start with the halide on for 1-2 hours and increase it little by little, then take off the LED.

Chalice don't always need bright light. My Blue watermelon grows great in a shaded area.

Yeah. I may do a better diy led. I want to keep a clam happy.
