Since this came up I researched auto feeders. Eheim feeders seemed to get good reviews on RC. I may get one soon, just one less thing I have to do with the big tank.

I've thought about an auto feeder, mostly for the purpose of feeding the tank during the day while I'm at work instead of trying to rush home, feed fish, cats, dogs, kid and oh yeah....SELF!

I know its better to do a couple of small feedings instead of that one BIG one. Unfortunately, when you have chemistry lab until 9:45 and then have to drive 30+ minutes home....there isn't much choice.

Just got a text from the guy with the alert system...he has decided to not shut his system down! lol....its hard to give up such a GREAT hobby.

I know what you mean. I get done with class at 3:15, takes 20-40min to get home depending on how fast the bus is, then I usually have to be at work by 4:30, a 20min drive away. That barely leaves me time to change clothes, much less feed the fish or anything else.
