going to larger refugium. OK to move DSB??

Im thinking about upgrading my refugium so I can allow more macro algae. Am I going to have any problems or complications when I move the sand from one refuge to the other? The tank is 1.5 yrs old with plenty of LR (seems to be well established)

DSBs are always nasty - I wouldn't risk to move it.
Sand is cheaper than anything else in your tank...

Don't risk it. When you disturb a mature deep sand bed, that has probably never been vacuumed, it will release a ton of bad stuff.

I wouldn't move the old DSB or start a new DSB.
