The Goni bug has hit me hard. Very hard.
I’ve done a lot of research on them and like everything else, there’s a lot on contradictory and anecdotal info floating out there. Most threads never get updated so who knows what happens after the first few posts.
It seems that most Gonis do well and then melt after ~6 months.
Manganese, iron, feeding, flow - it almost seems like survivability is random or likely based on lineage.
Anyhow here is my lineup - my oldest is the bright pink on the right which was sold to me as a black widow which is 114 days old in my tank.
I’ve got a rainbow short polyp in the back which is closed up for the past few days.
I’ve also got another bright pink that is melting - it never recovered fully recovered after being stung by a torch.
The BigR and Flame Tips are 77 days old.
The rest are fairly new.
