Im upgrading my lights and unless Saltwater city can track down somthing
better im getting this unit. Its a great price but a good deal allways scares
me about the product quality. So like all mindless dummys im leaving a vary
important decision to relative strangers so.......DECIDE!!!! Will it be good
over a 29gl bowfront? Im mostley growing softies and LPS at the most a
Montipora cap, will this light work? Thanks for the help!

For an additional $80 you could get the 8 bulb system instead of the 4.

This may be a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway... Can you place any T5 HO bulb into a system like this? Are there specific types of bulbs you have to use?

That system says it supports 3k and 6.5k bulbs. Could you put 10k / actinic lights into a system like this without any issue?

IM not sure about placing any bulb in the system but id like to know.
I dont think i need 8 bulbs but thats why im asking this question.
Will this 4 bulb fixture be good on a 29gl bowfront?

If the picture is accurate, that looks like an ok deal for the money. It appears to have individual reflectors, which is a must on T5 setups.

I say it is only ok because of potential quality of parts. Ballast especially.

That's Sunlight Supply's horticulture fixture. It uses the same ballasts and reflectors as their Tek fixture. It's bacially the Tek fixture without the outer covering. As long as you can hang it, you'll be good to go.

Nice! I hear tek has got it goin on. I cant hang it though so ill build a stand eventually.

The only issue is the bulb color. They don't offer anything above 6500k, which is pretty yellow. Great for a freshwater planted tank, but too yellow for marine. Factor in the price of new bulbs.
