Nope, I have had mine for 3 years and it is going strong. A couple things of advice though, Never place it close to another coral because they have sweeper tenticles that can be very long and will sting other corals. They also like a lot of flow. I'f it ever starts to die, dip it in Iodine and it will make a complete turn around.
