Need some help. Have a 75 gallon tank for around 2 years. In last couple of months cannot keep green algae under control. parameters seem to be fine. changed filters in RO system. Have a fuge with cheeto.

Thinking it might be RO filter not as good (replacement filters through Costco online). possibly need a light change.

Broad question any thoughts are appreciated.

Post your parameters please, all of them. Alk/ca/mag/nitrite/nitrate/ammonia/phosphate. With those we can at least begin to see what is going on. If you are worried about your RO water being bad get a in pocket TDS meter and check your TDS in the RO water you are using.

Parameters are a good first place to start.

If you haven't changed your feeding cycle, bioload or maintenance intervals than I'd go with lights or RO filters.

Parameters
TDS meter states 026 ppm
Salinity 1.027
PH 7.8
Ammonia o
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
phos 0
Alk 6.4 - (low, been out of town)
Cal 490 ppm

no new bio load or changes in feeding.

Let me know your thoughts

uh your TDS is way high. Do you have a RODI unit? If so I think it is time to replace the filters and membranes. And your PH is a little on the low side and your Salinity is a little high. I would say the TDS is your biggest concern to the GHA. The PH and Salinity not so much just letting you know you should drop the Salinity and raise your PH.
