Hello,

I just got a new green trachyphillia which looked great in the LFS. After about a day in my tank I noticed some tissue recession on one side. Everything else in the tank looks good. Anybody have any ideas why it's tissue would be receeding? I will post a pic when I get home.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5-10
KH - 8
Calcium - 400
Temp - 78-80
PH - 8

the only thing i see thats off is the no3 and its pretty high. are you using an api test kit? if so get the lfs to check your numbers and id say do a water change just in case. also tell use more about the tank. things like lighting, flow, tank size, placement in the tank and any other corals nearby

were is placement they are low flow corals if the curent is making the lobes sway its to much eather make a buffer or cange power head placement

Is it getting stung by something else?

Pictures would be helpful - of the coral itself, and a wider shot of its neighbours.
