Has anyone on here done it.

I have a nicely colored mat of the stuff that's about 4" x 5" and thinking about trying it? If you have let me know how you attached it to the overflow box? Any positive or negative experiences with doing this?

Thanks,
Curt

biocube at aviarium has the whole back wall covered. looks great

i did it at the local lfs a while back with a tiny little peice that had 3 polyps on it at first i used superglue and it just fell off and then i tried silicone and it worked. my only advice is keep it trimmed about 1 inch from the top of the overflow box. i had to trim it on the overflow at the lfs cause we let grow through the slits and it started blocking the flow and was a pain in the a$$ to get out

Thanks for the info I will try the silicone and see how that works. Would you suggest I cut mine also or could I put the entire mat up there?

U could put the entire mat up there but it will spread very fast. And when you use the silicone make sure it's either aquarium silicone or the he silicone that does not have the mold inhibitor in it

i used glue gel. make sure you glue at bottom of the overflow as the mat will grow upwards towards the light....faster coverage.

Hey that's great, I will make sure I attach it to the bottom of the overflow. What did you do to remove it from the overflow, a razor blade?

Sorry for the nub questions, thanks for the info?
