Was not happy with the flow through our sump for a couple reasons. Re-did it this morning and it's working much better today.
I have our 120 dual overflow setup running 2 independent Herbie overflows. I was having a problem where the tank wouldn't balance properly after restarting the return pump. I knew this might be an issue when I set the tank up due to having different length horizontal runs on the drains. Got tired of worrying about it so I changed the layout of the sump - basically reversed the flow. I wouldn't have been able to do this if we had purchased a pretty (and expensive) sump for this tank. Our sump is a DIY made from a 40 breeder.
