I have been trying to knock out some hair algae the last few Weeks. Now Brown diatom looking stuff with a ton of little air bubbles and the hair algae is not going away. I just got my gfo phosban Rector going, been running for the last to Weeks, I've tested my po4 and it says 0ppm. Using red sea test kit that test lvls under .1 ppm. Just added some po4 sponge that I will remove in two days, I'm just seeing if this helps. I run my light s 12~12blue s 2~80 whites. I run the member mod leds. I have a fudge with small patch of cheto and a hand full of flame algae. The tank is 20g high with 10 g fudge. I run the temp st 78 and stays at that with a rkl. I dose kalk in my ato water. I don't know what I'm doing wrong I research every thing and it frustrating me.. Any one got some advice? O yes the tank has been up since Dec. 25 last year it finished cycling that day. Any advice or tips would be great.

Once the phates have leached in the roch and sand, it's going to take some time getting it out..

Change the GFO often at first, at least once a week, maybe more....water changes 2 times weekly won't hurt either...and some carbon.
