Hammer help !

My hammer has been doing fine until a couple days ago and he seems like he is going downhill fast he's always nice and full but past couple days been really retracted a lot and not seems to have a gap that I've never seen .. not sure if that's his mouth or if something else is going on here

Have you dipped it to check for pests?

I have not, I've had him a couple months now and everything else in the tank looks good I know my nitrates and phosphates are on the high side but they are in balance with each other and stay almost exactly the same all the time

I would start by dipping it in some revive
or coral rx. You may have some flatworms or some other pest.

Well crap .... Best way to cut him off with his plug glued down??

If it’s just glue you can easily pop it off. Definitely dip it and look for flatworms or any other pest.
