would like to setup a hob fuge and would like any thoughts on what you would put in it

I don't do chaeto. You've seen my setup.

A lot of people like chaeto, and I have nothing against it, but I just didn't want to add it to my set up.

If I had to pick one reason why I didn't like chaeto, it would be: IF it starts falling apart, for what ever reason, it clogs sponges and pumps.

Crushed coral on the bottom and matrix on top of it.

Edit: I don't have a very good justification for the crushed coral other than I thought it would look cooler with two layers and I have an onyx based sand in the DT, so I figured I would use a small amount of aragonite in the system....
