My name is Walt, and I just became a paying member. I was a member of the San Diego Reefs club, and I'm ready to start reefing again :)

I just wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm 32, a disabled veteran of the Army who served 8 years, and now work as a government contractor in the IT field.

My former tank was a 2yr old 65gal tall full setup, and I miss it dearly! I'll attach a pic of it before I introduced everything and it became bristling with life, because unfortunately I can't find any of my established pics :(

As an FYI, I have a thread in the WTB section, trying to get started again, http://WTB 65-75 Gal Setup">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=98809</a>.

Welcome Walt, hopefully we can fine you something really nice to get you started again.

Thanks everyone! It's been in the back of my mind for quite some time now, so I decided to "take the plunge." Haha, a reef joke, get it. . . get it?

I got it.....hehehe

Welcome Walt. And I second what Butch said. I appreciate what you did for all of us. You will find lots of great people here and we are glad that you joined us. Mark May 16 on your calendar. We have our expo that day at Gwinnett Center. You are not going to want to miss that.

Welcome Walt. Thank you for your service. My husband and I are both AF Vets. Best of luck on your upcoming tank.

Thank you Nancy!

I just wanted to update everyone that I got my complete setup today, a 90gal! Excited to get started, just need some sand and rock now :)

Hi Walt,

Welcome to the club, congrats on the 90 gallon. Waiting for the cycle to finish has always been the worst part for me. Any plans for the tank, SPS dominate, LPS or mixed reef?

I saw the Homebrewer tag have you been brewing long? While I have been partial mashing on the kitchen stove the last couple batches, I have a keggle that has been out of action to long.

Based on the number of rug rats you have I guess nobody can say that about you!!!! :D

Thanks everyone!

Here she is in all her 90 gallons of glory. Now to wait out the dreaded cycle!

Sewer Urchin, I plan a mixed reef, but stepping up in difficulty slowly. I'll be happy just to have some kenya tree and GSP starting out. I've been brewing for about a year and a half, on the stove too, and I have around a dozen brews under my belt. I actually did my buddy's wedding in November with 5 different brews, and it was a hit.

Welcome to the ARC, hope we will see you at the Expo on the 16th. I know your tank won't be cycled by then but when its ready I have some Anthelia Xenia. Holley:)

Welcome Walt and thanks for serving. I may not be a home brewer but I do enjoy a good brew. I'll trade you a frag for a brew whenever your tank is ready.
