Hey guys! I only have about 4 - 5 years in the hobby, but absolutely love it. I live out in the sticks though (literally on a farm), roughly 1.25hr from the closest LFS; so it can be challenging. I currently have a 49g rimless, mostly Zoas and euphillia. I’m obsessed with zoas and am always looking for a trade- currently battling Bryopsis though, so no frags leave the tank as of right now..

Side note: I’ve been using Vibrant to battle the Bryopsis, but it doesn’t seem to do much. Does anyone have experience with Hydrat-Mg? (Magnesium supplement) I’ve heard this is an effective remedy, but I wanted to hear some thoughts from the community before adding it

I've increased magnesium up to 1600 ppm to fight bryopsis in the past. But no experience with specific compounds/treatmemts.

for bryopsis, i used reef-flux with success. however, i feel like the bryopsis always come back one way or another.

right now i have no issue in the display tank (but then again i never had it in the main display but i always have them in the sump). also in the sump, it's never a big concern or widespread just sparsely located here/there.

after treatment(s), bryopsis would go away but only to return in the sump after several months.
