Ok, so I got some new rock the other day to add to my other rock, and as expected I ended up with algae, I believe it to be hair algae growing on my sides because of how it flows with the current.

Anyways, last night I pulled out my flashlight from boredom while waiting for a 7 year old to fall asleep, Tinkerbell isn't my thing if it's not Hook, anyways I saw something looked like a slug or snail with no shell chomping down on the back of the tank.

Now, I waited all day for this thing to come back out, even went and borrowed a camera for this picture, it's horrible, but it's the best I have to offer. :(

So, can you help me ID this thing, is it going to cause me problems, and if so how do I catch it. Even though I know the severe horridness of the pic is against me, any help you could give is greatly appreciated.

Not very clear pic, I would guess Stomatella which would be beneficial!

Sounds and maybe, but not sure that, it looks like a nudibranch. Be glad it's eating algae. There a re others that eat all sorts of other things like corals and sponges that you may have paid for! Here are some of the 'good one's' that are for sale.

If it's eating algae... it isn't a problem! Looks like a stomatella, I have several that came in as hitchhikers. They're great. They don't knock down stuff like turbos, and they eat algae.

Yeah, I had to borrow the camera and it's only like 4 megapixels.

That's the thing. Stomatella , thanks. I'll go read up on it.

If you have one... It will turn into 100.. They seem to breed super fast.. No biggie though.. They are great scavengers and are a huge help in keeping the tank clean.. Check them out at night.. Super fast movers for snails..
