I really need to upgrade. I've decided to go with a CPR back-pack skimmer instead of this old ORCA skimmer the guy I bought the tank from was running. I've done checking around and I think the CPR is going to be the easiest to maintain. i haven't found one store with this ORCA brand. The CUP THING at the top of that ORCA skimmer is just way to big and I don't want to deal with that much
:lol2: POOH :lol2: at one time. I think it will be much easier for me to clean a smaller CUP THING in the end. My tank is going to be mostly SPS colonies, some Pink pulsing coral, and I think I'm going to start cross pollinating some of those Acorns because they are so popular. Anyone else have any suggestion on the best pooh extractor with a small cup thing so it's easy to clean?

Thanks Brandon but I realized what forum I posted in and was trying to keep some of the comments away from the public... I was trying to vent on how many threads we have about skimmers and what people should buy.

DO RESEARCH PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I THINK EVEN THE ARC HAS MAYBE ONE OR TWO THREADS ABOUT SKIMMERS.

And that took me only two minutes of searching.

I hadn't even seen that one. I did google search small skimmers...but not nano.... GENIUS

Perry is being a little facetious in regards to people asking for skimmer advice when they haven't even done enough research to even know the right questions to ask. A forum is great to help make educated buying decisions, but it is simply impossible to tell someone what skimmer is best unless they already have a good idea on what they are looking for in regards to type, size, budget, plumbing, bioload, type livestock, and a sock full of other preferences....

I get don't get how people can ask what type of skimmer they should buy with out even telling the basics of the tank they are putting it on. Its like asking what type of car should I buy.
