my cheap light fixture has messed up.one ballast went out only have three bulbs.would love to buy icecap t5 retro but cant afford all that at once.have a friend with an old vho 2 bulb retro i can get for 75.00 and hane to buy 2 new bulbs.would this plus my 3 t5 cheap crap be alright untill i can but the good stuff.i can get another cheapy for 120.but hate to waste that much money on junk again.and would a 4 bulb t5 with icecap 660 and the two vhos be too much on a 75 together?

what size you need? might help, i might have something you can have but dont know what size you need
what size of what.the fixture i have is a t6 54 wyatt vho jap brand fixture.at this point just looking to keep my corals alive in my standard 75 .i mainly have softies with a couple of montis and a birdnest and a acrapora and 2 claims.thats why i was sure if the old style 110 vhos would work

like how much across, 48" in. across? i have no idea what dim. a 75 are, i have 48'' p.cs u are more than welcome to borrow until you get something, i think they are 4x54w, or is it in a canopy?
ok i swear im not stupid having a bad moment.ok it is a 4 foot tank with a canopy.i have a couple of 65 wyatt pcs but no glass to sit them on.i do thank you for tring.would still like to get someones oppion on the old style vhos for now the other thing is i live in al.and would be rough coming to atlanta area to borrow lights and return.thank you so much that is mighty nice.

ouch im in NE AL. JUST sold a VHO retro kit and lamps
If you get a 4 lamp t5ho I think the vhos would not be "too much" but they would be "unnecessary".
VHO seems to be going the way of the dinosaur. There's nothing wrong with it, per se, but it's old news... harder to come by the lamps anymore.
