I believe my Pearly Jawfish has intestinal worms. I noticed a brown string hanging out of his butt yesterday and he's not been eating or acting normally since. I was able to get him to take some food today but he is definitely weak. He is in my 70g reef tank and I don't think I can get him out to treat him separately. I have lps and sps other fish that seem to be fine and a coco worm in the tank. What are my best options? How likely is the Jawfish to recover?

Thanks in advance for any help!

See post #5 under the above link, relating to de-worming. Not sure if it will be helpful, maybe JennM will post something in your thread. You could PM JennM for faster results. I trust any information given by JennM when it comes to sick fish.

Has he come out yet?

I replied to the PM with similar advice on deworming meds from the thread that was linked.

The trick is if he's still eating. Once he's stopped eating, well... it's usually too late.
