I have a 55 gallon acrylic tank. I have the return into the left hand side of the tank which has approx. 30 pounds of live rock and chaeto. It over flows into the next chamber with the protein skimmer. From there it over flows into the supply back to the tank chamber where I also have a canister filter with GFO. I am thinking of moving the rock to the chamber that supplies back to the tank and adding a deep sand bed where the rock was. What you guys think? The tank is a 150 gallon with a little bit of everything in it, mostly sps, and lps. Just trying to get as much out of it as possible. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

I played with the sump the other day. I did move the live rock over to the pump back to the tank baffle, drained the entire sump and got all the sediment out of the bottom. The return from the tank section only has chateo. My skimmer is producing a lot more gunk now, and all but a few corals seem to be a lot happier. Should I still add the deep sand bed where the chateo is?

OMG.. If I didn't constantly "fix" it, I'd be bored and have nothing to complain about or spend crazy money on!

If I didn't complain or spend money, my wife would have to check me for a pulse... LOL
