To me it looks normal and this should soon die off. Is this a new tank that was started up with dry rock? Also what are your nitrates and phosphates?

Tank is a few months old
temp 80
SG 1.025
Ph 8
NH3 0
NO2 0
NO3 0
dHK 8.9
Ca 420
Mg 1305
PO4 0
PO4 is 0 I would guess from the algae consuming it

CUC
2 clowns
2 firefish
2 Banggii
6 zoas
duncan
bowerbanki
hammer
clover
GSP
a few barnacles
some spirorbis

That looks like the start of hair algae (or what my outbreak looked like). I'm not the best person to give advice but if yours is hair algae, it's good to take care of it early - I'm hitting it from several angles - reduced my light cycle from 10 hours to 8. Running gfo in a reactor, which has knocked it down a bit. Will switch to something else this weekend. I have removed rocks that I can and scrubbed them with a toothbrush and peroxide (those rocks are clean). For the rocks I can't get at, I'm getting a sea hare, which I will then make available to other club members. Finally, I am getting a TDS meter to check out my water params from my RO/DI and have pre-emptively ordered new filters for it (it's about 6 months old).
