Help with identification

I have a couple things on this piece of rock that I dont recognize. Can someone please help. The small thing in the middle that is growing out sideways and then makes a 90 degree turn straight up is the first. I dont think it is part of the polyp that covers most of the rock. The other thing is to the right of it. Kind of looks transparent. Not sure if either should be there. Help.
